Vitamin A

  • a fat-soluble nutrient; requires the presence of fat in order to be absorbed and utilized
  • only found in an animals' products if their diet was of grass
  • necessary for proper development and growth as well as prevent against birth defects, sexual organs,lung health, skin health,protects against cardiovascular disease and cancer
  • Eye health (protects against cataracts, macular degeneration and infection.)
  • Immune system (helps with repairs and protects against infection)
  • only found in animal foods! Plant foods contain beta-cartone which you body may convert to true vitamin A with the use of energy and other nutrients.
